The practice spaces
Practicing on the lawn and in the community room
A yoga retreat lives or dies by its practice space, so here is the honest version. Indoors, the community room is the base for smaller classes, workshops and evening restorative sessions; it seats about 20, so plan on a smaller number of mats. Outdoors, the lawn is where most groups hold morning practice, with the pines around them and room to spread out.
There is no dedicated studio, which means you bring the mats, props and any speakers or instruments. Many teachers like that: the class becomes part of the place instead of a room that could be anywhere. Students remember practicing with birdsong overhead and pine needles at the edge of the mat far longer than they remember a studio floor.

A sample day
How a yoga retreat day can flow on the property
Teachers build their own schedules, but this is a pattern that uses the property well.
| Time | Session |
|---|---|
| 7:00 AM | Morning practice on the lawn |
| 8:30 AM | Breakfast from your caterer, or in town |
| 10:00 AM | Workshop in the community room |
| 12:30 PM | Lunch, then free time: trails, pool, rest |
| 3:30 PM | Afternoon practice, then a sauna and cold plunge round you lead |
| 6:30 PM | Dinner, then a fire ring circle or yin practice |
Recovery
Heat, cold and light between classes
Students on a yoga retreat tend to love contrast therapy. The glass forest sauna and the cold plunge are both on the property, so a round of heat and cold after the afternoon practice is easy to schedule. Red light therapy and the outdoor seasonal pool give students more ways to rest during free time.
The forest trails, open from dawn to dusk, work for walking meditation or a silent morning. There is no massage or hydrotherapy on site, so if bodywork is part of your offering, bring your own licensed practitioners.

Rooms and food
Rooms for students and meals for a yoga group
The 50 rooms are 16 double queens for shared-room pricing, 28 kings for private rooms, and 6 suites with a kitchenette and sofa bed for teachers. Rooms are dog friendly, which some students appreciate.
Meals come from a licensed caterer you hire or from restaurants in downtown Eureka Springs, five minutes away. There is no restaurant, breakfast service or catering kitchen at the resort. Local caterers can cook plant-based and allergy-aware menus; we can recommend some who know the property. The Forest Lounge serves beer and wine for those who want it.

Before you book
Questions teachers usually ask on the first call
How many mats fit indoors? The community room seats about 20, so plan on fewer mats than that and keep the room for smaller classes, workshops and restorative sessions. Larger groups practice outdoors on the lawn, which has space for everyone in good weather.
What about weather? Ozark weather changes quickly in spring and summer. Most teachers plan the morning class outdoors with the community room as the fallback, and schedule the more technical workshops indoors from the start.
Is there storage for props? Bring props in your vehicle and keep them in the community room during your booking, or ask us about storage when you confirm dates.
Pricing your retreat
Building a retreat package around the room mix
Most yoga teachers sell their retreat in tiers. A shared double queen room is the entry tier, a private king room is the middle, and a suite is the premium option or the teacher's room. Knowing our room mix (16 double queens, 28 kings and 6 suites) lets you price tiers before you open registration.
Contact us for pricing on your dates, then add your teaching fee, your caterer's quote and any extras to build the package. Midweek dates usually leave the most room in the budget.
Getting here
Travel for students coming from out of state
Students who fly land at Northwest Arkansas National Airport (XNA), about an hour from the resort by car. Many retreats set an arrival window on day one, with check-in from 3 PM and an opening circle in the early evening.

FAQ
Yoga retreat questions
Where do yoga classes take place at Forest Springs Resort?
Indoors in the community room, which fits a smaller class (it seats about 20, so plan on fewer mats than chairs), and outdoors on the lawn for larger groups and morning practice in good weather.
Is there a yoga studio on site?
No. There is no studio or gym. Teachers bring mats, blocks, straps, bolsters and any sound equipment. The community room and the lawn are the practice spaces.
How many students can a yoga retreat bring?
Groups of up to 60 can stay at the resort, but practice space is the limit for a single class. Most yoga retreats here are 10 to 25 students; larger groups split classes or practice outdoors.
Do you provide yoga teachers?
No. The resort hosts your retreat; you and your teaching team lead every class. There is no guided programming at the resort.
How much does a yoga retreat at the resort cost?
Contact us for pricing. We quote by dates, nights, rooms and whether you want a room block or the full property.
What about meals for yoga students?
There is no restaurant or catering kitchen on site. Teachers hire a licensed caterer for plant-based or other menus (we can recommend local ones), or plan meals in downtown Eureka Springs, five minutes away.
Can we use the sauna and cold plunge as part of the retreat?
Yes. The glass forest sauna and cold plunge are available to your group. Many teachers schedule a contrast round after an afternoon practice; you lead it, since the resort does not run guided sessions.
When is the best season for an outdoor yoga retreat in the Ozarks?
Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable for outdoor practice. Summer mornings work before the heat; winter retreats lean on the community room, the sauna and the fire ring.
Is the resort quiet enough for meditation?
The resort is on ten acres of forest at the edge of town, so it is generally quiet, especially midweek. With a full buyout, your group has the property to itself.
Can students arrive the same day they fly in?
Yes, in most cases. Northwest Arkansas National Airport (XNA) is about an hour away by car, and check-in opens at 3 PM. Many teachers plan a gentle opening class or a fire ring circle on the first evening, then start the full schedule the next morning, so travel days stay relaxed for everyone.
